Frequently asked questions

How much to be added to your product?

1% is enough to convert normal plastic to a bio-degradable one. In other words , you need to add 10 kg to each 1000 kg (1 ton)

Does Addiflex® affect the recyclability of plastic?

No. Because Addiflex® can withstand the heat once i.e when added for the first time. Thus in the case of recycling, Addiflex® will be destroyed like never been added before.

Which type of plastic can use Addiflex®?

Addiflex® can be used with any type of Polyolefins (PE) and (PP). We are working hard to source other products that can be used with all other polymers

Does Addiflex® affect the performance and shape of your product?

No. Prior degradation, plastic that contains Addiflex® will have typical performance and shape of those without Addiflex®.

Does Addiflex® contain heavy metals or leave any harmful residues?

No. Addiflex® doesn't contain heavy metals or leave any harmful residues. In fact, Addiflex® passed all the usual ecotoxicity tests and they are FDA approved .So it is safe for food contact.

Addiflex® Oxo Biodegradable Additive

4- From a polluter to environmental friendly

The product will converte completely to Water (H2O), Carbone Dioxide (CO2) and Biomass

The molecular weight  become so low that can be digested by aerobic bacteria

2- Oxidation of plastic

With aid of oxo-biodegradable additives and in presence of  air and heat , the long chains  break to  smaller chains

environmental friendly
Addiflex® is a Swedish technology that enhances the biodegradation of polymers by causing the plastic to decompose by aerobic bacteria into simpler substances such as carbon dioxide (CO2), water and biomass. It reduces the age of the plastic from 500 years to 2 years and getting rid of it completely.
Our additives meet three important requirements: 100% biodegrade the plastic (not just fragment it), they are completely non-toxic to the environment and they are FULLY recyclable and FDA approved for food contact use.

How does it work?

Polymer still has long chains that are difficult to break naturally
